Bailedbailed

A friend said I would like this book. She was wrong! It's just ridiculous. 50 pages in and the main characters are talking one moment about saving people and the next they are thinking about jumping one another. I don't think that's creditable. Also in some of the sentences letters were missing in words.

This whole story was pretty ridiculous (in a bad way), and the development of the romance was not believable at all. I probably wouldn‘t continue the series if I hadn‘t already committed to reviewing the third book. 🤦ðŸ¼â€â™€ï¸

Book 2 ✔ï¸

So I tried it and could not finish it. The prose was okay but I found it directionless and very simplistic. There was also something uncomfortable about the protagonist killing people and fighting against horrible sec crimes one minute and then being as horny as a hoot owl the next. That struck me as not credible.

So when I was helping my wife at the RT Booklovers convention this author challenged me to read her book and tell her what I thought of it.

I think I am up for that challenge.

Y‘all this book is so bad and it‘s not because I‘m feeling punchy today. For a book about a vigilante and an aid worker falling in love, I was so bored I wanted to grab a fork and stab my eyes out. And the sex scenes were not great. And the way Native Americans are presented sucks. And how can you write action scenes with BOOM, BAM. What does that add to the story. I would offer it to someone on litsy, but I‘m scared someone would hit me with it.
