Dark Tower: The Gunslinger: The Battle of Tull
Dark Tower: The Gunslinger: The Battle of Tull | Peter David
In a saloon in the town of Tull, the last gunslinger is approached by a bizarre figure that has a message for him. The essage is terrifying. What's worse, it is delivered by a dead man named Nort whose corpse was animated to serve this very purpose. And that is only the beginning of the horrors awaiting the gunslinger in this strange place deep within Mid-World. We continue Roland Deschain's quest for the Man in Black that has become his obsession. Featuring the artistic talents of Michael Lark, whose fine pencils have graced the pages of Daredevil and Spider-Man. COLLECTING: Dark Tower: The Gunslinger - The Battle of Tull 1-5

It's curious to me why this was my least favorite of the graphic novels so far. I've read the novel four times (that I can remember, it could be more). I love it. This graphic novel is pretty much the beginning of the novel. Maybe at this stage in my life (a good 20 years after the first time I read the novel) I feel differently about violence and the role of female characters?

#EmojiMadness Day 27: This graphic novel adaptation of Stephen King‘s The Dark Tower definitely has a lot of ☠️ elements in it. Still missing a few titles so haven‘t started on this beast of a series yet - both the actual novels and their graphic novel adaptation.

#NovemberbytheNumbers I‘d be hard pressed to not mention The Dark Tower on day #seven #7 of this challenge! ☺️ I haven‘t finished the series because I was reading it before they were all published, but now that I have the complete set I can start over and finish all at once!! 🎉♥️🚂 (I do also have the children‘s book about Blaine 😄) **I feel I should mention that I didn‘t break those Book spines... I bought those copies used 😁

BookBabe I hate when spines break like that! But I have a really hard time reading mass market paperbacks without that happening. That‘s why I prefer hardcovers. 7y
Avanders @BookBabe Ah! One way in which we‘re opposites 😜 I don‘t mind broken spines.. I added the note in my post, though, because I know most Littens do 😁😁😁 It‘s so true, though, so hard to read a mass market paperback without breaking its spine! I‘m reading a trade paperback now with over 400 pages, and I‘ve noticed that there‘s no such issue... 🤷🏽‍♀️👍🏽 (edited) 7y
Johanna414 @Avanders I‘m with you- broken spines on paperbacks really don‘t bother me 7y

Where do these prompts come from...I keep missing things I would jump on in a heart beat. #darktowerdecember....why did I just see this now. 😥😥😥 I am an avid reader but don't think I could hit these mammoth books all before the end of the month. Too bad it's my favorite too!
