I wanted to find restaurants for each country and luckily there is a Guatemalan place next door and was determined to find something I could eat for dinner. It turns out after years of eating brunch there I had never noticed the small print on the menu that says any of the soups/stews can be made vegan! 😂

Blue corn tortilla chips as amuse-bouche, Guatemalan beer, Pepian, and probably not Mayan cuisine, but I had to have crazy corn with truffle!

BarbaraBB All look great and I love how you are doing the #foodandlit challenge 😋 3y

We finally made it home. It is nice to be back in our own space, but I am already missing all of the beauty, adventures, and relaxation of Guatemala. I didn't spend as much time reading as I would have liked to, but I was able to further explore one of my favorite places on Earth. I have all the time for books now that I am back home, anyway. Happy reading to all in this new year. ❤️

ChasingOm Is this Antigua? I love Guatemala too! 5y
