One of my favorite childhood books. The copy my grandpa used to read to me sits proudly on my bookshelves still. Although it's worn and tattered, it's full of love.

These very worn children's books were first gifted to me by my grandpa and they stayed at his house and he read them with me all the time. When he passed away, my grandma gifted them again to me to keep on my shelves. I'm forever grateful that she kept them all these years and I cherish the memories of them reading with me.

#SpringIntoReading Day 25: #Water reminded me of one of my fave childhood reads. Think of this as a cautionary tale meant for young people who have just gotten themselves an animal companion and the sense of responsibility that comes alongside the taking care of a creature other than one‘s self. My review of this throwback read here: https://wp.me/pDlzr-98e

As a child, I would sit on my grandpa's lap for hours and he would read books to me. The tagged book was my favorite for him to read me. He was a man of few words, but he would sit and read with me anytime I asked. One of my last memories with him, was a quiet day on his couch a few years ago, I had gone back for the holidays, he was reading his paper to me. I miss him daily, but I cherish the memories.
This engaging fictional RA, children‘s literature book by Helen Palmer is about a young boy buying his first fish and not listening to the store owner (Mr. Carp) about feeding the fish the right amount. When the boy over feeds Otto, we go through a journey about how to get him back to the right size. It‘s a very good book to read at the beginning of the year teach children to always follow directions. #UCFLAE3414SuB18
@DrSpalding I‘m not sure who loved this book more, me or Levi lol. “A Fish Out of Water” was such a cute book and he loved Otto. Definitely a must have/need for my classroom library. Thank you so much! The other two books will be featured tomorrow! 🎉🎉😊😊
