This was such a good read. Loved the characters. There are some dark moments and they may be triggering to some. Off to download the rest of the series. #romantsy #100reads
Book 285/2021 finished 16/12/21 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Reread
I really enjoyed this book, but definitely be aware of the trigger warnings at the beginning of this book. There are descriptions of rape, molestation, a religious cult. I was shocked at the end of the book and I had to buy these for my kindle so I can read the rest of this series. I've never really been interested in biker romances, but this series ( from the first book) is definitely worth the read
This is one of my all time fav romance books! I fell in love with the character right away and read it in a day I reread it when ever I feel low, action romance humor it‘s well balanced and fantastic.
@theresidentromantic @CoverToCoverGirl @Daughter-of-words @LaurenReads I finished my book group book so now I can start this as my reward! #hadeshangmenfix
Hell yes, it‘s okay with me! Bring on Viking! @CoverToCoverGirl @theresidentromantic @Daughter-of-words
I picked this up because I was so curious to see what all the fuss was about. I think this is the first book I‘ve read that falls into the dark romance sub-genre. All I can say is that this is definitely not a sub-genre for me. There‘s nothing technically wrong with it, but I could not accept the MC culture as even remotely positive, which meant the entire book was a miserable slog for me. It‘s definitely me, not the book.
#bookanddinner finishing up my Styx and Mae reread with cauliflower fried rice😋 I loved these guys just as much the second time around plus I got to just skim through the more horrific parts of the book and just enjoy the naughty ones😏😉 #HadesHangmen
What a ride. Twisted, gritty, dark, real. Everyone is broken and flawed but there‘s goodness there as well. I‘m a mess. And I‘m going back for more. I need to know. Ky‘s next, but I‘m really looking forward to Flame. I need to know if Cain can be redeemed (I‘m guessing maybe? Sorta?). #DarkRomance
Holy shit! Holy shit! Not that I didn‘t see it coming but pardon me while I hyperventilate and quietly have a cow over here. Getting side eye from my husband—he just doesn‘t get it. #DarkRomance
Poor Mae. My heart breaks and this is so raw. I‘m hoping Styx will do the right thing. He‘s a bad man, no question about it but he‘s not evil. Unlike those bastards back at the commune. #darkromance @CoverToCoverGirl
@CoverToCoverGirl I‘m going in!
There are three new books since I last read the original three and one more coming too, so I figured I'd recommend as I read. This is hands down my favorite #kindlecrack. The Hades/Persephone MC club story I never knew I needed. I honestly cannot say enough about it, my fiance knows the entire plot of these books because I can't even stop.
This series was recommended since I‘ve been into some grittier romances lately. This was grittier in subject matter rather than sex, with the MC lifestyle and a woman escaping from a religious cult. While some of the grammar annoyed me, the story was really good. I can‘t wait to read more of this series! #romantsy #romance
Book 63 for 2017. (I have requested to add Damnable Grace to Litsy so I'll change the title when they add it) this series never fails to impress me. Super difficult subject matter but dealt with really well and blended nicely with some romance. I'm really looking forward to the next book and fingers crossed for polyamory.
Aside from bitch being a term of endearment😒I'm really getting into this series. Centers around young women rescued from an abusive religious cult by some bad ass bikers. There's more to this series than a typical romance. The abuse that's described in the books is based on real stories of men and women growing up in cults and it's horrific. These books are dark and disturbing but show the characters starting to heal despite their damaged pasts
As many of you know, I'm a dyed-in-the-wool #romantsy fan, and in honor of the self-publishing dynamo that is Tillie Cole releasing the latest in her Hangmen series, I'm starting from the beginning again and will read Damnable Grace last. I had bought some of her books before, but wasn't feeling them until I read It Ain't Me, Babe. This one started it all for me, I'm loving the re-read! #meghanreadsromantsy
Book 21. This had the potential to be so so bad. (And I would have read it anyway cause I sometimes love me a shitty MC smutfest) Turns out though it was actually really well written and had an actual awesome plot line. It sounds like she really did her research and I'm really impressed with how she wrote some very difficult subjects. All the stars.
Oh sweet baby Jesus! Why did I wait so long to start this series? AMAZING! I'm off to start the next one. I can't get enough.
As usual I went in blind, at first I was unsure of how I felt with this story but I loved it! I can't wait to start the second book
