Sinning never felt so good...A fortuitous encounter. A meeting that should never have happened. Many years ago, two children from completely different worlds forged a connection, a fateful connection, an unbreakable bond that would change their lives forever... Salome knows only one way to live-under Prophet David's rule. In the commune she calls home, Salome knows nothing of life beyond her strict faith, nor of life beyond the Fence-the fence that cages her, keeps her trapped in an endless cycle of misery. A life she believes she is destined to always lead, until a horrific event sets her free. Fleeing the absolute safety of all she has ever known, Salome is thrust into the world outside, a frightening world full of uncertainty and sin; into the protective arms of a person she believed she would never see again. River 'Styx' Nash knows one thing for certain in life-he was born and bred to wear a cut. Raised in a turbulent world of sex, Harleys, and drugs, Styx, unexpectedly has the heavy burden of the Hades Hangmen gavel thrust upon him, and all at the ripe old age of twenty-six-much to his rivals' delight. Haunted by a crushing speech impediment, Styx quickly learns to deal with his haters. Powerful fists, an iron jaw and the skillful use of his treasured German blade has earned him a fearsome reputation as a man not to be messed with in the shadowy world of outlaw MC's. A reputation that successfully keeps most people far, far away. Styx has one rule in life-never let anyone get too close. It's a plan that he has stuck to for years, that is, until a young woman is found injured on his lot... a woman who looks uncannily familiar, a woman who clearly does not belong in his world, yet a woman he feels reluctant to let go... Dark Contemporary Romance/New Adult Novel. Contains sexual situations, violence, sensitive and taboo subjects, offensive language and mature topics. Recommended for age 18 years and up*

This was such a good read. Loved the characters. There are some dark moments and they may be triggering to some. Off to download the rest of the series. #romantsy #100reads

I really enjoyed this book, but definitely be aware of the trigger warnings at the beginning of this book. There are descriptions of rape, molestation, a religious cult. I was shocked at the end of the book and I had to buy these for my kindle so I can read the rest of this series. I've never really been interested in biker romances, but this series ( from the first book) is definitely worth the read

This is one of my all time fav romance books! I fell in love with the character right away and read it in a day I reread it when ever I feel low, action romance humor it‘s well balanced and fantastic.

Mehso-so

I picked this up because I was so curious to see what all the fuss was about. I think this is the first book I‘ve read that falls into the dark romance sub-genre. All I can say is that this is definitely not a sub-genre for me. There‘s nothing technically wrong with it, but I could not accept the MC culture as even remotely positive, which meant the entire book was a miserable slog for me. It‘s definitely me, not the book.

#bookanddinner finishing up my Styx and Mae reread with cauliflower fried rice😋 I loved these guys just as much the second time around plus I got to just skim through the more horrific parts of the book and just enjoy the naughty ones😏😉 #HadesHangmen

CocoReads I don‘t even like cauliflower but that looks delicious. We had beef stew and rolls. I‘m glad you‘re rereading. I‘m loving this series! 7y
CoverToCoverGirl Love that you‘re rereading ... Chapter Nineteen of Heart Recaptured was hellacious. It was really, really difficult to read...what was done to Lilah ..unspeakable. Tillie Cole draws from a deep dark well. 7y
Daughter-of-words @CoverToCoverGirl yeah it‘s sick to think that most of the experiences the girls have are based on things that happened to real cult survivors😔...I just started Lilah‘s book❤️ 7y
CoverToCoverGirl That‘s what made this even harder to read for me... it‘s difficult to process that evil like that really exists. 😞😡 7y

What a ride. Twisted, gritty, dark, real. Everyone is broken and flawed but there‘s goodness there as well. I‘m a mess. And I‘m going back for more. I need to know. Ky‘s next, but I‘m really looking forward to Flame. I need to know if Cain can be redeemed (I‘m guessing maybe? Sorta?). #DarkRomance

CoverToCoverGirl Naw.. Shade has no competition @CocoReads .. just saying.. lol 😂 Yes, I agree Litsy has only enhanced my love of reading.. I have friends that read but none to the extent I do. It‘s wonderful to share my reading experiences with people who REALLY understand me & get it when I‘m losing my mind when something crazy happens to one of my book peeps! and actually know the storyline(s) @CocoReads @theresidentromantic 7y

Holy shit! Holy shit! Not that I didn‘t see it coming but pardon me while I hyperventilate and quietly have a cow over here. Getting side eye from my husband—he just doesn‘t get it. #DarkRomance

the.bookish.valkyrie My husband has learned that when he feels like getting me riled up for his own entertainment, (which is more often than not) he can give me side eye and I will try to explain it to him - poorly, awkwardly, and angrily! Because I‘m awesome like that! 😂 Sometimes I even read passages to him out of context. Gaining me even more frustration. This is a picture of true love. Your welcome! 7y
theresidentromantic @CocoReads @CoverToCoverGirl my fiance knows the entire plot to these books. I keep screaming about them and usually he's my unwilling victim ❤ 7y
CocoReads @theresidentromantic we just read such different stuff-him and I. Although I did get him hooked on Joe Hill by raving endlessly about Nos4a2. 😄he‘s not into MC‘s but patiently puts up with my musician crushes. Which, I thought, I‘d hidden until he mentioned something about my boyfriend. Must have noticed how many pics I was taking of him one night. 😊 7y

Poor Mae. My heart breaks and this is so raw. I‘m hoping Styx will do the right thing. He‘s a bad man, no question about it but he‘s not evil. Unlike those bastards back at the commune. #darkromance @CoverToCoverGirl

CoverToCoverGirl Agreed he‘s a hard man but not evil.. enjoying the book but it leaves me feeling deeply disquieted and raw at times... 7y

There are three new books since I last read the original three and one more coming too, so I figured I'd recommend as I read. This is hands down my favorite #kindlecrack. The Hades/Persephone MC club story I never knew I needed. I honestly cannot say enough about it, my fiance knows the entire plot of these books because I can't even stop.

JennyJudy I love these books! Definitely kindle crack! 7y

This series was recommended since I‘ve been into some grittier romances lately. This was grittier in subject matter rather than sex, with the MC lifestyle and a woman escaping from a religious cult. While some of the grammar annoyed me, the story was really good. I can‘t wait to read more of this series! #romantsy #romance

Book 63 for 2017. (I have requested to add Damnable Grace to Litsy so I'll change the title when they add it) this series never fails to impress me. Super difficult subject matter but dealt with really well and blended nicely with some romance. I'm really looking forward to the next book and fingers crossed for polyamory.

ContraryMary I can't seem to find any information on when Crux Untamed comes out so if anyone knows - hit me up! 7y

Aside from bitch being a term of endearment😒I'm really getting into this series. Centers around young women rescued from an abusive religious cult by some bad ass bikers. There's more to this series than a typical romance. The abuse that's described in the books is based on real stories of men and women growing up in cults and it's horrific. These books are dark and disturbing but show the characters starting to heal despite their damaged pasts

As many of you know, I'm a dyed-in-the-wool #romantsy fan, and in honor of the self-publishing dynamo that is Tillie Cole releasing the latest in her Hangmen series, I'm starting from the beginning again and will read Damnable Grace last. I had bought some of her books before, but wasn't feeling them until I read It Ain't Me, Babe. This one started it all for me, I'm loving the re-read! #meghanreadsromantsy

julesG Is this the first in the series? I think I've got this somewhere, too. And, of course, haven't read it yet. 8y
Pinkmeghan @julesG Yep! This is the first, she just released the fifth this week, and she's got a lot more on the schedule. The woman is a writing machine! 8y

Book 21. This had the potential to be so so bad. (And I would have read it anyway cause I sometimes love me a shitty MC smutfest) Turns out though it was actually really well written and had an actual awesome plot line. It sounds like she really did her research and I'm really impressed with how she wrote some very difficult subjects. All the stars.
