so-soDoing Jólabókaflóð a little different this year, exchanged books yesterday but read them all today. :) Mine was okay! Not a fan of the comma splice and run-on sentence style this author writes with. I think I‘ll read the sequel, just to see where we‘re going. It‘s giving big COD vibes with the skull masks, though.

pickToo bad the male narrator is apparently a garbage human being, bc this audiobook was fun. I‘m rereading so I can finally get to Scythe and Sparrow, so after MONTHS wait, I liked the audiobook. Now to wait for Leather and Lark.

The story is basically an erotic dark romance retelling of Beauty and the Beast. As a retelling, it worked well. It followed the storyline and a lot of elements were present, including a protagonist who loves to read and a stunning library. The library was massive.
