I posted about this book under a similar prompt a year ago, but it‘s always a good plug for a #ghoststory ...

Nesbitt wrote some nonfiction books before coming to Gettysburg and opening up a ghost tour establishment. He also wrote several ghost books; this one is the first. #FallIsBooked

This is an easy one for me...to hear some talk, I work among #ghosts . My library is located in the town of Gettysburg, known by many historians to be the turning point of the US Civil War. While I have yet to see a ghost in person, I do have a few spooky happenings tales that personally happened to me, both while working at the library and from my countless visits to the town over the years. #OctoberXFiles

Cinfhen I‘d love to hear more!!! 5y
Gaylagal2 Very interesting to live around all the history 🤓 We have a ghost in our front pasture and I've seen him twice since living here. He has the parade hand wave down...so cute!😂 5y
BarbaraTheBibliophage I‘ve had my share of ghost encounters also. 5y

Lauram I‘ve had ghost encounters at my parents house (I think a family ancestor followed me home after a cemetery visit) and in the crypt of Canterbury Cathedral. I love hearing ghost stories! 5y
Librarybelle @Cinfhen I had an experience at the Jennie Wade house years ago and have vowed never to return. 😱 5y
Librarybelle @Gaylagal2 @BarbaraTheBibliophage @Lauram I‘m very intrigued by the stories of the unexplained 5y
Gaylagal2 I am too @Librarybelle. Some are very real and some are not so much - like some of the TV shows that exploit it🙄 But I was never afraid when I saw him, he's just a little boy and I truly believe he was welcoming me to Missouri 😉👋 5y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Librarybelle How are the ghost tours in Gettysburg? 5y
Librarybelle @BarbaraTheBibliophage It depends upon the tour, honestly. I always liked Mark Nesbitt‘s Ghosts of Gettysburg tours, because he is actually a historian, so he has done research on things. I know a few are pretty bogus. 5y
Librarybelle @Gaylagal2 I know what you mean about some of the TV shows! It‘s so nice that the little boy seemed welcoming. 🙂 5y
Hoopiefoot I went to school in Gettysburg! Never had any ghostly encounters but I did creep myself out plenty! And once I went running through the battlefields early on a Saturday AM & a re-enactor and I scared the crap out of each other in the fog 😂 5y
Librarybelle @Hoopiefoot 😂 Oh my! That would get my heart pounding! I‘m a graduate of the college! So, I even heard stories on campus and had an odd experience on my last day there. 5y
Hoopiefoot @Librarybelle Hello fellow Gburg alum! What happened on your last day at school there???? 5y
Librarybelle @Hoopiefoot 👋 On graduation day, a friend, her mom and I were standing in the dorm suite‘s kitchen, not near any cabinets. Most things were packed up. Suddenly, a cabinet door flew open and one of the bowls left in the cabinet flew out, almost like someone really threw it. It amazed us. The door was latched; no one was near it. Just an odd thing we could never explain... 5y
