I live in a tiny town in Iowa, and I'm not aware of any books set in my town. But! I have several options for books set in my state. 😃

balletbookworm Gotta plug Universal Harvester by John Darnielle, set in Nevada. I'm going to use it for the "books set within 100 miles of your home" category for the #readharder2017 challenge. It's right around 100 miles away depending on what part of town you measure from?

balletbookworm And weirdly, though I live in the Iowa City area, there aren't a whole lot of books actually set in town - perhaps odd given the MFA program. 8y

Tcip It turns out that if you don't like westerns, Arizona is a really shitty place for books :) my #readharder2017 is going to be rough on that end. 8y

lynneamch @rustoryhuf @sprainedbrain No stopllights, but there is a library in this NE Iowa town. Set in Janesville, Iowa (pop. 850 when I left) --part set in Waterloo which is a larger town nearby
