I‘m not even curious as to who is behind it all. Ok, I‘m a little curious. But don‘t wait for me. I‘ll get there but it‘s going to take me more time.

CocoReads I kept finding other things that needed to be read. A sure sign that this one isn‘t for me—almost everything else is more compelling. I don‘t know why, the writing is good, it‘s normally a plot I enjoy but this time it isn‘t getting it for me. 7y

CocoReads @Rocki I think I‘m bothered by the trafficking angle. And I think kill is being a dick. I get that he‘s grieving but I‘d like for him to pull his head out of his ass. 7y

Rocki @CocoReads yeah the trafficking angle was a but harsh and kill is mainly a dick for about 70% of the book I wanna say. But it does get a bit better towards the end. I cant remember is this the first or the second? 7y

CocoReads @Rocki it‘s the first and I bought them together so I‘ll finish them both but it‘s a struggle 7y

And the plot thickens😳 my only complaint is stretching out the mystery by having the characters be vague and evasive is kind of a pet peeve of mine, so that was irritating. I hope the 2nd half is more straightforward. Otherwise I really enjoyed this book. I‘m a sucker for star crossed lovers destined to be together and finding each other again after years apart 😊

CoverToCoverGirl Not quite finished but I agree if only someone, anyone would have simply answered 1 question directly... 😬🙄 but I‘m still enjoying it. 7y

Daughter-of-words @theresidentromantic yes by the end it made sense why Kill didn‘t want to tell her about that night but she was just as evasive about some of the memories she was getting back (edited) 7y

AHH. So this ends on SUCH a cliffhanger, I feel like I have to read the second one. It was easy to devour in one day, but it was not my style by a long shot. But now I can't leave them alone and I'm still riding the emotions from my 1am cry fest over Shade. I need happy. I think I'm going to take a few days from reading. Maybe watch Trolls.

We are home. I read the first 3 chapters on the way home but now begins the fun process of shoveling 15 inches of snow out of our driveway. Sadly the snow lower broke right before snowmageddon

I‘ve zipped through 9 chapters already and I have to say that this book is definitely dark and I have a feeling it will be very emotional. I‘m on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens😨. #purecorruption #darkromance #currentlyreading

CocoReads Great! We‘re getting ready to hit the road back home so I‘m going to start it when we get back on the road. It‘s at least a 2 hour drive, maybe more depending on roads. It‘s not surreny snowing but word from home is there‘s 15 inches on the ground. 😬 7y
