I did have this book in my teens but it seems to have vanished over the years!!
Vita S and Virginia Woolf began an affair in the mid20s that inspired Woolf‘s novel Orlando. The above letter was from Vita to Virginia, and a portrait of Vita Sackville-West, 1918.

Though Bloomsbury was quite celebrated.I was lucky enough to be in New York one winter (?) and saw the play "Vita and Virginia " by Eileen Atkins at the Cherry Lane Theatre, amazing!I hear there is a film in production.
