Prompt 9: graceful

She is a former model who "trained" to be a rich man's wife so I'm going with graceful. The book was a mess though...poorly written characters, predictable and supremely unlikely plot and not well written IMO.

If this book were a puzzle...it would be missing a few pieces. It was diverting and rather compelling...but when you're all finished...a few things don't necessarily add up.

This one was not really what I expected it to be. I had high hopes for it, but it fell pretty flat. A dark, dark story of revenge with really no character development or twist. I was left with a lot of questions at the end. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This was a somewhat predictable story about a woman who knowingly enters a marriage with a highly controlling, manipulative man. It touches on themes related to spousal abuse by describing the aftermath rather than the actions themselves. There were moments where the story was interesting but, for me, it didn‘t move at a good pace. I just didn‘t find the characters appealing or sympathetic and therefore didn‘t find this to be a great read

Ann Aguirre has been an instant buy since her Razorland Series which i reread at least once a year. The Third Mrs Durst kept that going as i read this in two days (would have been hours but sadly had to work). This was so well written, i just sat back and completely enjoyed the ride. There were so many wonderful twists and surprises. The main character was smart, funny, vulnerable and held her cards very close that even the reader was left out.

This is a big nope for me.

I‘ve been #netgalley binging lately. This was such a fun book, lots of twists and turns. It was an easy, entertaining read. From the first page to the last, I had a hard time putting this book down. This has been a highlight of my recent ARCs and I would recommend it. It‘s out in August and would be a solid beach read.

I recieved an e-book ARC of The Third Mrs Durst from Midnight Ink, through NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review. The Third Mrs Durst is 50 Shades meets Wild Things with a little Pygmalion thrown in. I throughly enjoyed the plot twists, and liked the characters, especially Joanna (all things aside, I absolutely adore her). If you enjoy intense stories that keep you guessing, with strong female characters, I would recommend this book to you.
