It wasn‘t the best month for reading, but I managed to finish five books in April. #wrapup
BTW this book sounds adorable.

April recap! It was a pretty good, albeit kind of erratic reading month overall. My reading was bookended by two non-memoir, nonfiction books: very unusual for me (#roll100 and #bookspin made me do it 😜)

“April paused just long enough to give each of her parents a smothering hug. Then she ran out into the living room to tell Sheba and Brenda the good news.”
This was a very cute book. It had a very happy ending with April being able to keep her favorite kitten, so that was really sweet. The illustrations of the cats were also fantastic. It almost looks like a simple drawing, but looking closer you can see how much detail was put into each cat.
“Well, Margaret, what do you think? Shall we get a two-cat apartment this time?”
There are not that many illustrations but they‘re black and white with a pop of red which I think grabs the readers attention.
Caldecott Honor
I honestly did not like this book at much as some others. It was an okay read but I just didn‘t like the story
