OSC is a horrible human being but I really like these books and already paid for them long before I knew he was a horrible human being. Hoping to finish the Ender Verse this year.

TheAnitaAlvarez I had such a hard time with Ender‘s Game (sexism, racism, and xenophobia tend to put me off) that I‘ve never been able to pick up any of his books. 6y

ThatNerdyBookwyrm @TheAnitaAlvarez It‘s been so long since I‘ve read Ender‘s Game itself but it‘s kind of the point of the books - everyone is a piece of shit fighting for piece of shit values. Kind of like Orson himself. Like, they‘re using 6 year olds (okay, they‘re 12, but still) to fight wars. You can‘t really get much lower than that. (edited) 6y

Toddler nap time reading for when he'll only nap if we snuggle. I'd continue reading The Immortals but that's a thick hardcover and would likely hurt if I dropped that on my and/or the toddlers face! 😝
