The Mystery of the Empty Room | 
pickI think my favorite part about this book may be the absolute HORROR on the faces of the girls on this cover as they face THE EMPTY ROOM!! 😂 This is pretty typical old-school Scholastic Book Club fare. Originally published in 1933, orphaned sisters move to very small town (no electricity) in rural New Jersey to stay with their “uncle“ who seems to be rather eccentric. Mildly entertaining, but nothing to write home about. Soft pick.
