These Windmill cookies bring back such amazing memories. I would have tea with my nanny and share these cookies with her. She lived with us for many years and that was our daily routine. As the youngest grandchild, I had a special bond with my grandparents. She passed away on this date when I was in high school.
A nice cup of tea and these cookies always bring me back to those wonderful afternoons with her.

Since I‘ve read (and cleared from my shelves) 94 books from my 2024 #Roll100 list, I‘ve decided to make two lists for 2025. I‘m going to have one list for audiobooks and a second list for physical & ebooks.
My goal will be to read 5 books each month at a minimum between the two lists.

One more to go for my #10BeforeTheEnd list to be finished.

I‘m thinking I‘ll read it between Christmas and New Year‘s Eve.

This was a sweet, fun and uplifting read. The two families and their importance in the MC‘s lives was really wonderful.
I‘m happy this is just one of many books by this author that I have on my audio and ebook shelves.

I enjoyed this fun holiday read. I alternated between the ebook and audiobook and loved the narration. Aunt Cindy and Max were great supporting characters who provided some hilarious moments.

Conveniently, the remaining 2 for both challenges are the same two books. I‘m hoping to get to both this week.

Mirren is looking for a book her dying great-aunt says she had as a child. Theo has been tasked with getting the book before or from her by his uncle. Their search introduces them to some old Colgan characters in Edinburgh. It‘s a sweet story with several layers.

A soft pick. Halliday Valentine runs her family‘s Christmas factory. She‘s a psychic witch with a hummingbird familiar and a reindeer who is her grandmother. This book is like crossing Sabrina the Teenage Witch with a Hallmark mystery movie.

I enjoy Isley‘s books and this was no exception. Fun and heartfelt. The FMC could be grating at times but I think that just made her more realistic.

I wanted to read this one while the first book was fresh in my mind. Another fun and entertaining book. I liked book 1 better but love these characters.

So… the story itself was good. I don‘t think I‘ve ever typed “cringe” before but the dirty talk in this one deserves it. So bad and listening to it on audio, I think, made it worse. I liked that we got to see where these characters are years later. I was torn between So-So & Pan on this one.

Another fun read in the Coffee Loft series. I loved the characters in this book. Knox & Lacey are caring, lovely people. When Knox becomes guardian to his nephew, Matthias, he relocates so Matti doesn‘t have to deal with any more change. Lacey is great with children but thinks she is destined for a life without love.
