pickI read this entire book and still have no idea why it is called Her Deadly Secrets. It's a pretty good murder mystery, and the main characters, a PI and the private security guy who is hired to protect her after her colleague is murdered while they are working on a case, are likeable.
so-soI have got to say...I was a bit disappointed by the end. The book focused SO heavily on the romance and the attraction that it was hard to enjoy it as a murder mystery/thriller. Every other line was how much the girl felt insecure and remembered how he touched her that one night and he was all trying to protect her and so on. Yeesh! But I guess I should have looked up the author before reading and not just taken the synopsis for truth. :x
I guess I should have looked into the author before borrowing the book 😂 I'm fine with sexual tension and all, but I had no idea that's what I would get!

pick4🌟 The storytelling in Her Deadly Secrets was superbly executed! I was drawn into the investigation as it progressed and there was plenty of excitement when the investigators started to close in on the truth. I liked the balance between a police procedural and a crafty whodunit. It was filled with action, suspense, and characters that were memorable. There was also a a nice smoldering romance element but not as much heat as you would expect.
