Another solid entry in the Hamish Macbeth series. My favorite things about this series are Hamish‘s messy yet highly entertaining love life, and the quirky people who live in the village. 4⭐️

Not exactly the right sentiment for #NursesDay 🤷♂️🤦♂️ but first nurse book I thought of that hasn‘t already been posted today.
Hats off 🎩 to all the wonderful nurses for the heroic job they are doing, especially those holding the hands of the dying where family can‘t be there due to the virus. 😢 Will be out clapping again tomorrow night at 8 o‘clock for the job they are all doing.

Great story line in this one! Easy to read and straightforward, not too many twists in the story to confuse things!
A very sad moment for me when Hamish said goodbye to Sonsie though..
Okay...this made me laugh! “I am afraid my secretary has left for the evening. Not that she would be much good. She has pictures of David Bowie painted on her nails and that seems to go along with lethargy and inefficiency.” I love nail art and David Bowie and now I want his pic on my nails!! :)
Get these from the library but I'm sure I've read the Kate book -- haven't I @MrsMalaprop . 😊. The M.C Beaton book I picked quickly thinking it was her Agatha Raisin series which I prefer. Both series light , fluffy reads. Sort of enjoyed this one. Loved Hamish in the TV series. Off to the library to return and get something else to read. Might check out a couple of op/ charity shops as well. 😊📚
Saturday night cozy crime reading - the latest Hamish Macbeth. Or I think it's the latest one! #series #cozycrime #hamishmacbeth
Fourth book from the #24in48 readathon. Maybe it was reading a few Beaton's back to back, but while I enjoyed reading this one, I felt that it lacked something. If I recall, there was one scene where character names were swapped - been a few days, so I don't quite remember the details. The dialogue was a little different from other Hamish Macbeth books. Still, a good read.
One of the Hamish McBeth stories. M.C. Beaton is a good choice for cozy mysteries.
