Precocious young Flavia de Luce, amateur sleuth, rides her bike around Bishop's Lacey, a little village, in 1950s England. Her love of chemistry and a rather morbid imagination aid her in solving local murders. An excellent series for fans of period cozies and wicked British humor. Books in this series have won numerous prizes, including the Agatha Award.

I am wondering why I have never read any of Kerry Greenwood‘s Phryne Fisher Mysteries before this. What a great character she is. Lovely light reading/ listening experience😍I loved the voice of Stephanie Daniel telling this story. #cozycrime #ozfiction

Crazeedi I ❤ Phryne!! 5y
Freespirit @Crazeedi this won't be my last Phryne adventure I'm sure😂 5y
Andrew65 Read and loved the first book, reminded me that I need to get back to them. 5y

New #bedtimebook. I have high hopes for a nice, easy-to-read cozy crime. Fingers crossed. #cozycrime

LeahBergen This looks like fun. 👍🏻 6y
Verity I‘m hoping so @LeahBergen - I‘m hoping it‘ll fill the Beaton gap in my reading now that I‘m far too aware of the formula in Agatha Raisin and Hamish McBeth! 6y

My wonderful mum went shopping at a library sale yesterday and bought these for a whopping £1.65

I haven't read any of them and they are a mix of cozy crime, spec fic and pastoral...interesting 😊

Balibee146 I have The Dig on Kindle :-) 7y
Bambolina_81 @Balibee146 It sounds pretty dark! It's only a shorty so should be an interesting read. 7y
Andrew65 Nicola Upson writes a good Historical Mystery, interesting how her central character is the author Josephine Tey. However not read 7y

Bambolina_81 @Andrew65 I'm quite intrigued by it. It's also set in Portmerion where I visited earlier this year, I collect books set in places I have travelled to 😊 7y
Andrew65 @Bambolina_81 it always helps if you can picture the place from memory - just adds to the story then. 7y
batsy What an interesting selection. The Dig sounds intriguing. 7y

Cozy crime with a Black actress detective, yess!🙌

Dayna is super broke, no acting gig in sight and so the reward money for info on a hit- and- run sounds pretty good.

On a cozy crime kick at the moment and this is the latest. I'm as undecided about the book so far as I am about the cover. I think the pig is hideous, but the rest of the image is ok... #cozycrime #badcover

Tonight's book is the first in a new #cozycrime series. So far it feels a bit like jumping into the middle of a series but no one's dead yet, so it's still early days! Whisper it quietly though, but I think the cover looks a bit... cheap and naff. That font...

Another fantastic series I'll now have to stock up on! I'm not sure if you can class this as #cozycrime it's more serious, along the lines of Dame Agathas Poirot & the darker Phryne Fishers. Beautifully written, I flew through it in a few hours, can't wait to get to the rest. The injuries that were described in this book from WWI mortar fire were so horrific, I went to the internet and the photos made my heart hurt. War, indeed, is hell. 5⭐️

Sace I love the cloche in the bear! So apropos! 7y
JazzFeathers I read this a few months ago. It was ok for me. Great characters, intersting background story, but l found the mystery very disappointing 7y
