PROS: Very well-written & detailed. Story has a smooth flow that sucks you in. The action picks up early on, & keeps a fast, even pace. I ❤ the portrayal of Captain Smith. It's far more realistic based on his accomplishments & career records than what's usually portrayed in media regarding Titanic. CONS: The last 1/3 of the book is very rushed when compared to the rest of the novel. The end was rather mediocre. ⭐⭐⭐

My #CurrentRead, which I picked up because I found the blurb to be funny, is actually turning out to be a very well-written book that's not at all as amusing or hilarious as I expected. It's definitely not a bad book, but a fast-paced & curiously unputdownable type of novel! I'm ~50% thru it & thus far I'd definitely recommend it!

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this book! A fast read, but an interesting take on a story we're all so familiar with. It's its own story (unlike pride and prejudice and zombies), and really covered all of the bases as far as covering the major events leading up to and during the sinking.
