I really enjoyed this 5th book in the Lizzy Gardner series. There was a lot happening, which is standard for these books, but I feel like it was all held together a little better in this book than in previous ones. Really fast read, and because these books have so much going on, I definitely enjoy them more when I read them in just a couple of days - so I don‘t lose what‘s happening. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

EadieB @Elizabeth2 While reading my books, I make notes on all the characters as they show up in the book and it helps me remember who they are especially when books have so many characters. 2y

EadieB @Elizabeth2 When I read book 2 of a series, I refer back to the list of characters from book 1 and it helps me remember what the book was about and refreshes my mind who some of the main characters are. 2y

Elizabeth2 @EadieB I think that‘s why I prefer to binge read series, so I remember exactly why was happening and can still be sort of in the mindset of where all of the characters were. 2y

Reading the tagged book, which I hope to finish today. Then I plan to start my #bookspin #doublespin book, A Few of the Girls which is a short story collection by Maeve Binchy.

Very cold today and a snow/ice/rain storm expected Sunday into Monday so it‘s a good weekend to snuggle in front of the fire with a good book and participate in the #joyousjanuary Readathon. ❤️📚❄️🌨🥶

Elizabeth2 @jewright how much are you supposed to get? Right now, we are only supposed to get 2”-4” of snow, but could get up to 0.2 inches of ice, then end as rain. With the forecasted 40-50mph winds, it‘s going to be really nasty. Hoping we don‘t lose power. I was hoping for an easterly shift that would give us more snow and less ice. 🥶 2y

jewright @Elizabeth2 2-6 inches. I‘m guessing it‘s going to end up closer to the higher range. We had ice and sleet 2 weeks ago topped with 1 inch of snow. Everything had just melted off the packing lots and here we go again. 2y

Like all books in this series this was a very enjoyable read with some clever writing and unique plots. The strength in these books are the great central group of characters. This one took forward Jared‘s story from the cliff hanging end to the previous book. However whilst it was another very good reading I felt just a little bit let down by the ending and particularly the turn the book has taken. However on to the last book in the series.

Andrew65 @EadieB My last day will officially be 18th April, but last day with children and staff in school will be Friday 1st April. Notice period quite long in teaching in U.K. if Deputy need to resign by end of February. If Head / Principal already in another school need to resign by end of January. It is a large school with a good rate of pay so could attract a head teacher from another school. 2y

Andrew65 @EadieB When the school last under went inspection it was graded Outstanding so this will put some people off the job. 2y

EadieB @Andrew65 So whoever takes the job may need time to give their notice. I'm not surprise your school was rated Outstanding as you put a lot of time and energy in making it an Outstanding place! Congratulations! At least you will be leaving on a positive note! 2y

This is the 5th book of the series which seems to get better with each book.

EadieB They have a bit of wit and humor which makes me laugh but can get a bit gritty too. The characters are well-developed and work together in a nice way. I'm looking forward to the 6th book which is the last book in the series. I will definitely be missing Lizzy and friends and their wild and crazy adventures. If you like mystery thrillers then I'm sure you would like this series. 2y

My favourite in the series! Get ready for a bumpy, murdery ride. People are murdered to the left and to the right. Thing is, we know who the killer is from the start. Really enjoying the dynamics between Lizzie, Kitally and Hayley. You might not be ready for the storyline about Jared though. Also, and old “friend” is back as angry as ever. Lots going on! An enjoyable read all in all!

I'm reading this Lizzy Gardner book today while drinking some tea. I had to take a break from reading to order my favorite Teavana tea, White Chocolate Peppermint Rooibos. It is limited edition and only available during the fall and winter each year. I ran out too early last year, so I ordered a ton today. Thought you fellow readers and tea drinkers might like it, too. 🍫☕️📖❤️

BookishFeminist It's really tasty & im not usually a fan of either chocolate or mint in tea! I need to grab some myself. I also have a holiday tea that tastes like Christmas in your mouth- forget what it's called but it's also a really yummy seasonal blend. 7y
