Even though I came up with the challenge, have I been reading my #BookSpinBonanza books?? No, no I have not. Instead I am trying to finish an #LMPBC book and am also reading on through the Chronicles of Ixia. Whoops.

There are nine books altogether. The first three & last three focus on one character (Yelena), and the middle three focus on a different character, Opal. I simply don't like Opal as well as Yelena. Opal spends a lot more time ⬇️

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) dithering and whining and also worrying about whether people like her and dating one guy while thinking about another. The actual story is solid, which is why I'm giving it a pick, but Opal herself drives me a little crazy. 4y
Crazeedi You are allowed to change your mind! We al do that lol 4y
behudd I ended up skipping this middle trilogy & just reading Yelena‘s six cuz I had no interest in changing narrators. There‘s some stuff that matters that I missed, but I‘m still pleased with my choice. Maybe I‘ll do a re-read & include them in the future. Maybe lol 4y

Hooked_on_books I am such a mood reader, I totally understand! 4y
TheAromaofBooks @behudd - I had just forgotten how much less I like Opal than Yelena! But there is a lot of engaging storytelling and world-building (plus glimpses of Yelena and other characters) that they are worthwhile. The other thing is that I'm of course in love with Valek - Opal's love story goes off the rails in my opinion and I don't like the guy she ends up with at all. I'll probably rant more when I get to that book 😂 4y
behudd @TheAromaofBooks yes! I keep trying to like Yelena best but Valek is 100% my favorite character :) 4y
KarouBlue Cracks me up!! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 4y

Well, theoretically my #weeklyforecast should be all #BookSpinBonanza books BUT I have an ARC (not pictured) to read, plus my secret #LMPBC book. For some reason I started rereading the Chronicles of Ixia and really want to read the next three in that series next, plus I am still #ReadingLittleWomen - should finish that this week. I am also going to read Sense & Sensibility with the #PemberLittens if my copy ever gets here - it now says ⬇️

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) delivery is scheduled for Monday!! But MAYBE if I get through all of that I'll get to my first Bonanza book, which is also for #LMPBC - The Grace Year. Of course, this week is also the lead-up to Mother's Day weekend, the busiest week/weekend of the year for those of us who work at greenhouses, so we'll see how much reading time even exists!!

TheAromaofBooks @Bookwormjillk - Right?? I get a little happy feeling every time I see my copy of Mosquitoland posted!! At least my book is getting to have some traveling adventures even I'm at home 😂 4y
TheAromaofBooks @JoScho - I hadn't even heard of it before it showed up here as an #LMPBC pick, but it sounds super intriguing so I'm excited to dive in!! 4y
Cinfhen It‘s only May 3 / we have time to be distracted from “required reading” 😜 4y
Lollymya You will have to let me know about The Grace Year!!!! 4y
TheAromaofBooks Sure will!! It's for #LMPBC so I definitely have to read it sometime this month! 4y
tracey38 I love Marie V Snyder's series! Glad you're enjoying them. 4y
TheAromaofBooks @tracey38 - yes, my second time around & I am enjoying them even more than the first!! I also read The Eyes of Tamburah last year, but otherwise haven't read any of her other books - something I really need to remedy!! 4y
tracey38 @TheAromaofBooks I've read most of her books, though not all, and have enjoyed all of them so far! 4y

This book covers an amazing amount of territory- literally! If you enjoyed Yelena's world from The Poison Study series, you will love this next trilogy which follows Yelena's young friend, Opal Cowan. The first book in Opal's story takes you to the warm beaches of the Stormdancer Clan, all over Sitia, and across Ixia up into the most northern reaches as she explores her unique set of talents!

Redwritinghood I love her books! 7y
Claireluana Yay! Loved poison study trilogy! 7y

I forgot how much I enjoyed this book! Hip hip hurray for rereads! 📚💕

MaleficentBookDragon I met her 2 years also when she gave a talk at my library. She was really nice. I have a couple autographed books of hers. 7y
the.bookish.valkyrie @MaleficentTheBookDragon my brown eyes just turned green! Lol, all of my authors' book tours are either on the opposite side of the country from me or skirt the states around mine! The frustration is real! 7y
