Quite an opening as I squeeze in a few minutes to start this before leaving for work. Man blazing down the road to kill his cousin. I think I might fly through this memoir.
SUPER SALE ALERT!
This one is fantastic. HIGHLY recommend.
I had a great month of reading in February! Favorites were definitely Difficult Women, You Can't Touch My Hair, Beasts of No Nation, and Fire Shut Up in My Bones.
Last day of #Riotgrams, day 28: #BookishConfessions. I've had so much fun with this month-long challenge! So I'm not sure this is a confession so much as a quirk, but what I do with every book I read is see how many pages there are total, then find the middle of the book and look at it. Every book, every time. I even do the math in my head with ebooks and audiobooks (how much time = halfway).

Catching up, #Riotgrams day 15: #BooksAndTreats. Worst picture ever, but that's my read for my International Book Club with my bestie back in KC (it's a club of just us two...) and oreo brownies I made for my honey for valentine's day.

Blow writes with a beautiful sense of place. He takes us through his small-town, just-making-ends-meet upbringing to growing into himself as a man. It's always a gift when someone lets you see the world through their eyes, with all the good and bad bits that make us all human.
