#3books I plan to read this month to get me in a spooky #Halloween mood 👻 I‘m especially excited about reading the tagged book with @Annie1215 for the #ThatsClassic Litsy Book Club!

These #3books are at “the bottom” of my TBR. They are all books I‘ve heard rave reviews for over and over and I certainly plan to get to reading at some point, but so far they haven‘t really jumped out at me as needing to read ASAP. Have you read any of them? If so, what did you think? Do I need to bump either of them up the list?

SamAnne I still haven‘t recovered from the tagged book, LOL. Perhaps the most violent book I‘ve ever read. It is beautifully written and leaves a lot to think about, but I think I‘m skipping the trilogy.... 4y
GreenGrl87 @SamAnne oh gosh! That makes me even more reluctant to read it then... 4y

#3books I DNF‘d but I‘m hoping to return to finish them at some point. I didn‘t hate them, they just didn‘t really hold my attention at the time.

NikkiM5 I second The Time Travelers Wife, it just didn‘t keep me. I may try again in the future too. 4y
GreenGrl87 @NikkiM5 I‘m glad it‘s not just me!! Everyone I know like, LOVES this book and I just couldn‘t do it! 4y
NikkiM5 @GreenGrl87 same, everyone i talked to loved it. You are not alone 😂 4y

#3books that were gifted to me. The tagged book is actually one left to me by my grandmother. I remember reading this one when I would go visit her as a girl, and finding it absolutely and deliciously scandalous! The other two I am super grateful to have received as gifts from swaps.

Demon Seed | Dean Ray Koontz

I forgot that I meant to swap TCP out of my last set since it really belonged better here, but tbh it fits both. It was disturbing and terribly heartbreaking in parts, but I think that‘s also what makes it so memorable. Demon seed just had me like ‘ew, what!?‘ but in a good, can‘t-put-it-down sort of way (it reminded me a lot of the movie Splice in this aspect). And Flowers in the Attic, well I think we all know why this one‘s here 😳 #3books
