Saw the Van Gogh and Britain exhibit at the Tate. The first painting you see when you walk in is “The Arlésienne.” She is reading Uncle Tom‘s Cabin and Christmas Carol.

Breathtaking to have seen a starry night in person! Not strictly bookish but thought you guys would like to hear about it as I kind of group art, theatre and books together in my head. The Van Gogh and Britain exhibit at the Tate Britain is really well curated, showing Van Gogh in the context of his influences and followers and his place in society rather than the ‘lone wild genius‘ idea.
