The Infinite Moment of Us
The Infinite Moment of Us | Lauren Myracle
For as long as she can remember, Wren Grays goal has been to please her parents. But as high school graduation nears, so does an uncomfortable realization: Pleasing her parents once overlapped with pleasing herself, but now . . . not so much. Wren needs to honor her own desires, but how can she if she doesnt even know what they are? Charlie Parker, on the other hand, is painfully aware of his hearts desire. A gentle boy with a troubled past, Charlie has loved Wren since the day he first saw her. But a girl like Wren would never fall for a guy like Charlieat least not the sort of guy Charlie believes himself to be. And yet certain things are written in the stars. And in the summer after high school, Wren and Charlies souls will collide. But souls are complicated, as are the bodies that house them . . . Sexy, romantic, and oh-so-true to life, this is an unforgettable look at first love from one of young adult fictions greatest writers. Praise for The Infinite Moment of Us STARRED REVIEW "The scenes of sexual intimacy are described with innocently erotic frankness, offering an ideal (if not idealized) model for readers on the cusp; this is Forever for a new generation, offering character depth Cath and Michael never achieved. Summer love has never been so good." Kirkus Reviews, starred review "In contrast to unhealthy depictions of sex and relationships that teenagers (and adults) are often exposed to in media and entertainment, Myracle offers up a passionate romance built on a bedrock of love, respect, and trust. And its difficult to see that as a bad thing." Publishers Weekly "Two mature recent high school graduates fall in love and bring out the best in each other in Lauren Myracle's thoughtful exploration of an intimate relationship...the relationship between Wren and Charlie always remains realistic and involving." Shelf Awareness "This charming romance has multidimensional characters, straightforward sexuality, and a pace that lets readers fall in love with the main characters. Myracle expertly captures the intense connection of first love, from the need to spend every moment together to trying to figure out how to communicate with one another." School Library Journal "The single-focus intensity of Wren and Charlies feelings is spot-on for the age group... chapters move between both their perspectives as they grow into the relationship, offering readers of both sexes a rather compelling example of the how-tos of intimacy." Pickpick

I hated the beginning of this novel -- the dialogue was utterly atrocious and fake. But as the novel progressed, the dialogue started to improve and the story picked up. It turned out to be a cute YA romance.

I read this book last year and I STILL get the feels when I pass my bookshelf, take a glance, and see this beautiful book. I have very few romantic young adult novels just because it was hard for me to get into them, but this book changed my perspective of the romantic young adult novels.

This is a super cute fast paced little contemporary that has an adorable love story and shows that sometimes you have to take risks to see who you really are. I really enjoyed it. However I thought the love story was really intense. Almost a little bit much for me. They are both madly in love and life is not always easy. But I read this book in one sitting and it made me laugh and worry and feel things. Therefor I really recommend this book.

OMG this made me laugh😂😂

Riveted_Reader_Melissa Hahahaha! Yea, that falls under the only happens in YA romance novels. In real life, it either never happens, or screams STALKER or Player. 8y
Bookzombie 😂😂😂 8y
Bookworm-Bobbie I really enjoy YA fiction, but you can't deny this! 😂 8y
451Degrees @Riveted_Reader_Melissa totally agree!!!😂 and @Bookworm-Bobbie I also enjoy the occasional YA fiction but it's so far fetched sometimes lol 8y
Notafraidofwords This is what turns me away from YA. I like relationships to grow, but in YA, they just happen. Except in Aristole And Dante 8y

This was not great. It started off intriguing and somewhat promising, but the female protagonist was pretty unlikeable, the love story was instant and not tense enough, and the ending was somewhat absurd. I am disappointed.

Kmersiov This is exactly how I felt too! 8y

This is kind of going downhill for me. I dislike melodrama (and also, the female protagonist)

WordWaller This book was terrible! A shame too, cuz the cover was so nice 8y
