There's no stopping the climate apocalypse now, let alone reversing it.
But hey, maybe bird flu will take half of us first.

I feel like this is one of those books that will hit me really hard at some point in the future, but as of this moment I'm left feeling a little meh. A mix of flash fiction and slightly longer stories, this book looks at different catastrophic events, both big (death of the planet) and small (death of a relationship). I'm giving it 3.75⭐ (in my imaginary world where I'm allowed to rate things that way), but rounding up to four everywhere else.
"The whole point of a violin is to kill you emotionally."
Just one of the books I‘ll be reading for the @DeweysReadathon this weekend! Never participated before so I‘m excited to join in the reading fun.
So this is the response I‘ve been looking for when I‘m in a debate about the structure of society/politics.
Corin‘s writing is weird, very weird.
I love it.
Even when it wasn't racist and ableist, it was incredibly bland and unimaginative.
The third story of the collection (Madmen) is horrifyingly ableist and features a "twist ending" that high-school me would've considered too asinine to bring in to English class. ?
I'm signing up for #dystopianblues with @Mommamanzi ! One of my favorite genres! Join me? This link has a list of 100 dystopian books. http://www.vulture.com/article/best-dystopian-books.html
My last book took me to my first goodreads milestone. Halfway there!
