I don‘t know what‘s going on with me these days… but this is another miss for me. It just… definitely wasn‘t for me. I didn‘t really love how it started, how it middled, or how it ended. 🤷‍♀️ There‘s a good piece there… felt like some potential. But… kinda fell flat for me.

Picked the tagged up to (quickly) get my spine tingling award on GR… and it was really just so good. Intense, raw, dark, horrific - nothing new to say about it, but ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me.

Also finished the 13th Child and… man, I just didn‘t love that one. I struggled to get through it and ultimately thought she (author) made some… questionable choices. 🤷‍♀️ Not terrible, but not amazing. ⭐️⭐️💫 or maybe ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Woohoo!🙌🏽 My last book for #TenBeforeTheEnd is done! I really liked it after a bit of a slow start. Another book I‘m so happy to have finally read off my shelf. Thanks so much @ChaoticMissAdventures for a great challenge! Let‘s do it again next year! 😉🎉

Book 9 for my #TenBeforeTheEnd and one I‘ve had on my shelf since it was long listed for the Women‘s Prize years ago. An entertaining tale based on true events in a whaling community in 1908. The main character Mary is funny and the writing had me laughing out loud a few times. Glad I finally read it!
