I loved Faith Erin Hicks, and I've read almost everything she's put out, save for the Avatar comics (I'm waiting until I finish my first run through of the TV series). Adventures of Superhero Girl is a delight! I laughed out loud several times while reading this collection, originally a webcomic. She also contributed a comic to the Doors entry of the anthology series Explorer, about a teen who rethinking his blind ambition to go on a quest.
Fun art and an engaging main character make for a quick read. Not revolutionary, but a good time.
This is full of super adorable comics about a 20 something superhero who can leap tall buildings, and defeat aliens barehanded... but is also struggling to pay her rent and be considered a "real" superhero. Super cute. Loved it all the more because she has a weakness for kitty cats. ?
I only started reading comics and graphic novels thanks to you, Litsy friends. 😊🙌🏻 And I need more! I'm partial to this one because it pokes fun at the superhero world. Plus this superhero girl-in-training has an affinity for cats and thrift stores. What's not to love?

For #readharder, I wanted to find a new female superhero unlike any others I've read about before. This one shops at secondhand stores, can't pay her rent by just saving the world and has a soft spot in her heart for kittens. SOLD! 😁👍🏻So far, this parody on making a living as a superhero is a hoot and a half!
Mornings are for coffee and contemplation... and comics!
I had such a hard time deciding which frames to put in my review! So many things to love & not enough space to write it all! So I'm just gonna use a lot of exclamation marks!
Superhero girl is an ordinary superhero girl just trying to do superhero things. If only people wouldn't get in her way! 😂
Usually I would be annoyed that I only have 20 minutes to eat lunch but that's all the time I needed to fall in love with this book!
