Granted, this is very dated regarding social standards, but I loved all the sciencing going on. The science is why I've always liked these authors.

Some people might not have the patience for this book, its structured like a 70s Irwin Allen disaster movie, with a large cast of characters, each with their own dramas and mini crises, coming together when the big disaster strikes. I thought the book went on a bit longer than necessary, but overall it's worthy of a pick. 3 💥💥💥 1/2

1. Meteors Pound The Earth.
2. My phone. Everything I love, Litsy, Libby, Spotify, and Audible, is on my phone.
3. If I can visit myself, the Fall of 1982. I was about to enter college, I'd talk myself into a different major.

Read as part of a reading challenge, I have changed my rating a dozen times. 3 stars? 4? I wanted the book to be over and went to skimming: 3 stars. I finished reading all 629 pages: 4 stars. Great blend of science and drama. But too many characters to get well connected to any. Dated by its sexism and racism yet two of the strongest characters are a woman and a black man. Did I love it? Nah. Would I recommend it? Oh yeah...
I wouldn't recommend this to everyone. It was written in 1977 and you can tell! There's lots of exposition and the first half is a bit slow. But if you want to know what would happen if a comet hit the earth and society fell apart? Look no further. It takes a while for the comet to hit but once it does: wow! The author is very good at showing humanity at its worst while desperately trying to survive. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Some sci-fi reading with a cup of coffee on Saturday morning. Lucifer's Hammer is about a comet and the end of the world. Old school sci-fi from the 60-70's with quite a bit of sexism strewn about xD but it's a fun read!
