" The left foot had been severed from the leg ten centimetres below the patella. Both fibula and tibia bones were divided at the same place. All the toes were intact, although the nails had disintegrated or been eaten off during the foot's time in the water." Dr Rhona Macleod travels north to investigate a grisly discovery - a severed foot, caught in a fishing net off the Isle of Skye. Where is the rest of the body, and who is the dead man? What links him to a sinister secret society in America? And why is the Ministry of Defence so keen to shut down the case? Rhona's investigations embroil her in an international conspiracy from which she will be lucky to escape unharmed..

EadieB Rhona MacLeod is a forensic scientist who is investigating a severed foot on a fishing net off the coast of Scotland. It is dark and violent but an interesting read and centers in America and the Isle of Skye. The story is good enough to keep turning the pages until the very end. I look forward to reading more of Lin Anderson's books soon. 2y

An intriguing plot to this book that sees Rhona going to the US and to the Isle of Skye where she finds herself come up against someone she sent to prison, and her life suddenly is on the line.
A very involving suspense and crime book. @EadieB @Tove_Reads

Book 24 and final book finished for #BigJuneReadathon @Clwojick - thanks for doing a great job of hosting.

I liked this action packed third installment in the Rhona McLeod series. It‘s a fairly short read, but filled with events and twists! It takes skills to get this much valuable content into a book, and yet make it work! We learn more about Rhona and her relationship with Sean. We also get some great insights into her work and see real strange people, events, science, and a cult! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+

I will very soon have more time to read again, and I couldn‘t be happier! It‘s time to get back to these three series, so I just bought these as ebooks 😍🥳🤷🏼‍♀️😃

Finally! My #BookSpin is finished; another fine Lin Anderson read from early in the Rhona McLeod series. I didn‘t love this one as much as later books, but I started in the middle of the series, so I did enjoy getting a glimpse of the way the various characters started. This book predates my favorite character as well, so that may be why I didn‘t enjoy it quite as much. As always, the scenery and atmosphere are so engaging. @TheAromaofBooks

My #BookSpin and #DoubleSpin! I also figured out a way to use my book journal planner for the bingo card. Wooo. Had to find a pencil for the task. WITH an eraser. Girl, was that a smart move. Now to finish the final book from last month and then I‘ll be moving on! Thanks for all you do, Sarah; this is such a fun challenge every month.

TheAromaofBooks Yay!! I love it!!! 4y
Deblovestoread That is pretty clever and I think I am stealing your idea, if you don‘t mind? 🤩 4y
MittenGirlPeach @Kdgordon88 I would love it if you use the idea! I really wanted to use my new book planner but it took me a bit to decide the best way. Finally a 💡 went on! I love using old fashioned planners; I have a farmers almanac engagement calendar that I buy every year, but this is the first year with the bibliophile. All for love of Litsy! 4y
