Jonas writes really good summer reads! So, I decided to get three at once. Uplifting, easy reads that makes me feel like there‘s hope. The world today… and the people today, I feel hopeless nearly every day.

Not on Litsy yet, but on NetGalley. 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼😱😱😱😱
Picked up my books from the library. Should last for a few days. #libraryhaul Love it! ❤️🥳
Always fun, easygoing, and entertaining to read a Jonasson. Sadly this book is not listed here. Crazy people with an agenda get together with the least expected people, and we‘re off. You know the drill! A dying Swedish town wants the great German bed company to open a factory in town, and it gets crazy. Great summer read!
Such a lovely book set in Botswana. Really enjoyed the chilled African vibes in this book, the scenery, and the characters. ❤️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Had a friend over from Connecticut for eight days, so had no time to read. Today I‘m going to read all day. This is a book I‘ve been waiting for 😍 It goes well with my three teas that I‘m drinking this morning. I was three weeks on sick leave after surgery, and then my friend came over, and I‘m almost back to normal now, and very thankful ❤️
This was a light and fun read, just what I needed. Been hurting a lot, and I‘ve been miserable, so this book picked me up. Of course the book is not realistic, but there are these people things just happen to, and they jump on every opportunity. A bunch of quirky weirdos. They do what they do best and the whole world follows them. Fun times!
An important book in South African literature. It‘s an easy and entertaining read. Hard to believe it‘s from the 40s - before apartheid and still so accurate 🤷🏼
Feeling sorry for myself after an operation, lying on my bed, so cheered myself up with buying a VIP ticket to Helsinki Noir 2026 festival. Been reading a lot lately, because that something I can do. So grateful for books! 😍😍😍
Preparing for a 1-2 week long sick leave. Also have 5 books from NetGalley. Do you think this is enough? 🫣
I finished 18 books in May, so it seems like i‘m getting my reading mojo back! Finished two great books today, and read for many, many hours ❤️ quite the eclectic selection. Though everyday about #4Elisabeth 💔 #ShelfSweeper Thanks @Andrew65 for cohosting!
Got my library haul of 5 books from SA, and one from Botswana 🙂💪🏽🥳 Bring on summer, I‘m ready! In August-September I will start very intensive writing projects and studies, so now it‘s time to #readthesummerof25 Something I just came up with 🤣 Read, read, read the books you want, about the themes you want, off your shelf, off your e-reader, help your library by reading their books. You know what I‘m talking about! ❤️
Seems incredible May is almost over! Thanks to everyone who‘ve participated in #ShelfSweeper it has been great seeing all the books that have been read! I‘ve been thinking a lot about Elisabeth too, and how fragile life is #4Elisabeth What should we do in June? I‘ll be reading lots of South African books, but would be happy to do a readathon or buddy read or something. What about you?
So many of you have told me I need to read The House in the Cerulean Sea, and I finally got my hands on it! Hopefully I‘ll enjoy it as much as so many of you! I also got the latest Coben, and most definitely been waiting for this one 😍 #ShelfSweeper #4Elisabeth
I love Lottie Parker! This book is out June 25. It‘ll be on NG next week. I‘m one of the lucky few to get exclusive access today 😍😍😍
On to the 15th book in the Sebastian St. Cyr series 🙂 I am also looking for a new series like this or like the Shardlake series. Let me know! Yesterday was an exciting day; I got accepted to a prestigious creative writing programme, and sent my first play to the first theatre. Here‘s🤞🏼 but I need to be realistic and wait for the coming “thanks, but no thanks” reply. Mixed feelings, mostly positive. #4Elisabeth #SeriesLove2025 #ShelfSweeper
Just finished two creative writing teachers‘ books. Taija is the leading teacher in the whole country, and she‘s really good. Haven‘t taken any Pauliina‘s classes. Both books were really charming and good! I think I‘ve gotten back into my reading habit 💪🏽❤️ Also got really inspired to write, write, ✍🏻 #ShelfSweeper #4Elisabeth
OoooMmmmmGggggg! This is a stand alone, but it‘s #MichaelWood. Out in July! Just got the widget 😍😍😍😍🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼🥳🥳🥳🥳
I guess I expected a lot more, because I‘ve heard so many good things about this book. Sure, it was good, but that‘s it. The story was fine, writing good, there was character development, but there must be something I‘m not seeing that the people see, who are raving about this book. #ShelfSweeper #4Elisabeth
Finished the second book of the Delta series, which is super popular in Finland. Reading The serial killer support group - now, it‘s not a self help book 🤣🤣🤣 I am still writing like crazy, and yesterday we did a play reading - my first farce - and it went fabulously 💪🏽❤️🙂 Maybe one day you all will be reading my books, I‘ve got two moving forward really nicely 🙂 #shelfsweeper #4Elisabeth She would love my books! ❤️💔
Here are the books I‘ll be starting with for #ShelfSweeper. So many good ones that I can‘t wait! Also a couple of new authors to me 🙂
Join me and @Andrew65 in the #shelfsweeper readathon in May in memory of @eanderson #4Elisabeth. She was a great Kim Stone fan, so if you haven‘t read Angela Marson‘s books, why not now? I have lots of books I‘ve been meaning to read, but never seem to get to these books… now I‘ll plan on hitting the shelves! Please, feel free to join us!
Went to a writers symposium yesterday, and one of the big names from Finland said, that she can‘t stand it that every cover of her books have a woman from behind. The publishers refuse to change, because it sells. Men on covers is apparently the worst. So, when you go to a bookstore and look at the covers of new books, they all look the same. Same goes for thrillers, cozy, romance etc. just look at them. You know what genre it is, but…
We all have them - books we‘ve been meaning to read for ages, books we‘ve stacked, books on our shelves… it‘s time to read many of them in May! Stay tuned for more news soon as we‘ll be setting this up with @Andrew65 Also, for friends of @eanderson I was thinking about reading my books in memory of Elizabeth. 💔 Anyone and everyone is of course welcome to join. The more the merrier! In the pic are some of the books I plan on reading.
What do you think? Sounds good?
I must be a time-traveler-reader or something like that 🤣🤣
I think you all know why!
Yay, new series!
Started reading my first Alex Finlay. Seems very promising!
Starting the fourth and last book in this series. Found the first book intriguing and expectations were high for the second. I loved the second book. Then the third was meh. Now hopefully book number four is the good stuff again!
About to start Widow Lake, book number 8 in the Ellie Reeves series. This is a solid 4+ stars series, although one book was not really my thing. I love to do this kind of Kindle Unlimited reading sprees, although looking into other options than Amazon.
My library‘s yearly reading challenge, for all of you people who likes challenges! https://helmet.finna.fi/FeedContent/wp-suosittelemme-juuri-nyt?element=https%3A%...
#12booksof2024 Had to happen, right? Angie ❤️❤️❤️ Also Trophy Hunters Exposed is a fantastic albeit horrible read. My fave nonfiction of 2024! Also worth mentioning is DK Hood‘s Tears on Her Grave. All three five star reads! 😍 December
#12booksof2024 November. No surprise here. Archer is just a splendid author! I was a bit late to the Warwick series, but all caught up now! Runner up: MA Hunter‘s The Reunion, also a five star read!
Easy choice for October #12booksof2024 due to this book being the best book I read in 2024! Runner up is Roger Stelljes: Taken in the Cold ❤️
#12booksof2024 Definitely the choice for September! Mind-blowing! Fantastic! Could not love this book more! Also worth mentioning is Lisa Regan‘s Remember Her Name.
Didn‘t start the year with an easy read, a short, but not easy read. The main character in this book is absolutely horrible. Do you use your childhood experiences for good or bad? You become a doctor, but why? You separate good people from bad people, but totally on your own terms, but why? Read the book to find out! Always appreciate that Boyle does not stay away from taboo.
Anyone planning on taking part in this Goodreads challenge? The epic quest is a hard one for me. Any suggestions?
August was filled with excellent books. Top 4 presented here (sans Peter May‘s Lewis trilogy‘s book 2 and 3 - rereads). Could not pick a winner. All four authors are top notch authors I love beyond words. So… I randomly picked one to post here. And the good news is, there were even more 5 star reads than these 6! 🎊🌠
Not the best year - only 167 books 🤷🏼 I feel a bit sad for the ospreys - only 4 people have shelved. Here‘s to a better year 2025 🥂🎊
And here‘s June! I reread the Black House, and knew it would be five dashing stars, so in that way it doesn‘t count, but definitely worth to mention here. Stacy Green‘s Stolen Mothers was so incredibly brilliant it won my heart in June. Another author who deserves a lot more attention and praise! 😍😍😍🎊🥳🍾
