#poetrymonth Brooke died in WWI and left a small collection of poems , like most that die too soon , people wonder what he might have written.The leather Burns isn‘t as old as it looks , an Oxford edition from 1966. Burns died in 1796.The Byron is old , called the Pearl edition of his works , copyright of this edition, 1873 .
pickThe uneven nature of these poems is to be expected from a poet who died so young (27) but there are some gems. And had WWI not taken him, he might be remembered as one of the greats. Definitely worth reading, and some worth memorizing.
“And spectral dance, before the dawn,
A hundred Vicars down the lawn;”
