squirrelbrain I tried this one but really didn‘t get on with it... which is a shame as I love Sara as a comedian... 5y

Enjoyed this. A funny and deeper look at feminist issues (particularly body issues and sexuality) from a different angle. Probably TW: rape, even though i felt like she did a pretty good job of trying to do justice to the issue - she discusses in detail, so it might be too much for some readers. Read on my #nook account, started during #mountTBRreadathon. Have loved her on #GuiltyFeministPodcast as well.

I did really enjoy this but it wasn't quite as amazing as I'd hoped so I wouldn't quite put it as a pick. I learnt a lot about my body and how evolution has effected relationships and sexuality. It's also inspired me to read some of Pascoe's sources and learn more #animal #sex #sexuality #women #relationships

This is excellent, and much more science-based than I was expecting. Basically a course in evolutionary biology delivered by a really witty (but suitably angry) feminist. Great, funny, heartfelt stuff.

laurieluna Always loved her stand up, and this has been on my radar a while. May have to pick a copy up! 7y
arlenefinnigan @miralunasbooknook it's excellent. I listened to it on audio, her narration's as good as you would expect. 7y

I've always loved everything Sara has done so far but this was just what I wanted. Hilariously relatable from someone with PCOS but also humbling when the realities of life as a woman kick in.

This book made me nod so much I practically headbanged my way through 😂 several jaw-drops and a couple of teary moments later and I'm blown away! There were so many good points and a lot of research was put into it. I couldn't stop speaking about this at work and my (non-reader) co-worker actually asked if she could borrow it 🙌

This is one of my favourite and most important books I've read this year. I met Sara on Tuesday and told her as much. She writes from such a real place, everything resonated with me. She bravely writes about her own abortion, and she talks a lot about experiences that every woman will identify with, and I think this should be vita reading for all women and men. Top.

Might be the truest thing I've read all year.

Really enjoyed this. There were snort-laughs on a couple of occasions, and some reading aloud of excerpts to the boyfriend 😆 And I love that she provided further reading and a list of organizations to support.

Funny, educational, shocking, insightful, honest, all those good words. Pascoe is so open about her own life and funny too, as well as highlighting some scary facts about the world! I'm definitely glad I read this book.

Starting on Sara Pascoe's book! I like that one of my favourite Mock The Week panellists has written a book!

Also reading this and loving it. Highly recommend what can be best described as feminism in a biology class delivered by a comedian. What's not to like?

This combined two of my favourite things - weird body stuff and embarrassing anecdotes - into a truly heartwarming, hilarious and intelligent book. I would happily read 500+ pages about the adventures of teenage Sara and I really hope grown-up Sarah has more books in her future.

100 pages left and I am absolutely loving this. Simba is less impressed, especially as my laughter keeps disturbing his slumber.
