The Joker
The Joker: The Unauthorized Biography | Jack Napier
7 posts | 2 read | 1 to read
When a man has nothing, he has nothing left to lose. It is a simple concept, but many people miss it. When he has lost everything, he is afraid of nothing. There is no risk he won't take. There is no extent to which he won't go to take back some tiny remnant of all that is lost. You cannot buy, bully, reason, or negotiate with him. His purpose and vision crystallize, his determination solidifies, and the world must make way. He is now free to do anything.

Saw this today. It was good! Deep psychological suspense. Not nearly as violent as so many other films that have been coming out. Interesting approach to the Batman mythology. I hear Phoenix wants to do a sequel. I‘d definitely watch it.

Have you seen this film?! 🎞

Addison_Reads I watched it this weekend and loved it. 5y
ElizaMarie I watched it last week and absolutely loved it. Your write it‘s super deep. I think it says so much and didn‘t need all the CGI comic book stuff 5y
madamereadsalot1 I loved it! Saw it last week and haven't really stopped thinking about it since! 5y
AnneCecilie I saw it last week. A great portrait of the Joker and Phoenix does an excellent job. I understand all the talk in Norway at least, for him winning the Oscar. 5y
sharread I concur. Stunning movie. 👍🎃☠👻 5y

I saw the Joker last night. That‘s one #ScaryClown

I would absolutely recommend this movie. This is the study of a crazy man and Phoenix does a fantastic performance portraying this character. This is not the film for you if you want a lot of action.

joaquin phoenix out did himself with this one. The depth and breadth of his performance was fantastic. This really showed his extensive range as an actor. I loved this and would go see it again 🥰🥰🥰

This move was excellent. Do not go in thinking it‘s a superhero/super villain movie. iTS NOT. It‘s an Oscar bait drama. And Juanquin Phoenix Deserves every award and nomination he gets.

DO NOT take your 6, 8, 10, or 12 yo. They will probably find it boring. This is a look at a man in psychosis. It‘s real. It‘s violent. It‘s sad. It‘s excellent.

Rachel.Rencher Great review! I can't wait to see it. 5y
AnneCecilie I‘m seeing it on Tuesday. I hope it is as good as everyone is saying it is 5y
Ddzmini I can‘t wait to see this he‘s such a great actor and he was great friends with Heath Ledger 😍😍😍🙌🏽 5y

LibrarianRyan @Ddzmini it was really really good. And Phoenix is amazing. You see the Joker. You don‘t see him. And you see all the various personalities. It was so good 5y

This was a very interesting and dark read. It was hard to put down. It wasn't what I was expecting but still enjoy it.
The one thing that I did not enjoy was the spelling mistakes, it seemed to have missed some stage of editing before being published.

A fascinating unauthorized story about the origin of the Joker. It delves into his childhood and the tragic life that made him into man we all know as "The Joker". You will have trouble putting it down!
