pickI hate books with secrets so I avoided this even though I love Kylie Scott.the secret was outed on the first page so I was able to just enjoy. It‘s definitely more emotional and less humorous than her stage dive series. Alex has been emailing Eric for months and decides to hop on a plane and surprise him, only to find out she‘s been messaging his brother the whole time. I love how Alex and Joe were together- snarky and sweet at the same time.

pickSo I meant to review this after I finished last week, but life has been, well, life. I think I started reading it last year and didn't get very far. I'm glad I picked it up again. It's funny, with great characterization, including of minor characters, and the chemistry is 🔥🔥. #romantsy

Besides some minor problems (the spirit animal thing), I thought it was a cute book to read!
I like how different the characters are and how they get to know each other. They both have their set of problems and they talk it out with one another instead of yelling and pushing side the other's feelings and validations.
Plus a sexy lumberjack? Yum!

pickThis cold is not fun but having Twist to read kept me sane so far. I was not very excited about the premise ( guy uses brother's on line dating profile to start emailing a girl. He stops responding so she tracks him down) so i did not have the highest of expectations. However, Kylie Scott writes good dialogue so I was easily won over by Alex and Joe. I know I will be seeking our book three as soon as it comes out.
so-soBook 33. I have this issue where I read everything by an author and then I have to wait. And by the time the next book comes out it never lives up to my expectations. That was the case with this one. I binge read all her others, waited for this one and ended up slightly disappointed. It was decent, there were a couple points I thought "get yer head outta yer ass girl" though.

It's been a busy day and I'm just now able to sit down and read for the #readathon. Bummed because I was looking forward to reading all day long. I will soon be headed out again, so definitely won't be successful in this #deweysreadathon oh well, I'll sneak some reading in when I can. I'm rambling.
I find that I read more when I'm outside of the house. Probably because I'm less distracted with housework. We discovered our community park and I love the trees and overall natural feel of it. So while the boys shoot some hoops, I'm getting some much needed alone time to catch up on some reading. P.S. I love Kylie Scott books ☺️

pickKylie Scott shows why she's one of Australia's most beloved romance writers with her book TWIST. I have a humiliation squick that made the opening hard going but the characters were so compelling I had to find out what happened.

FINALLY able to buy this book. I've been waiting since the release of the first one in the series. As an individual who has 'low levels of pituitary peptide oxytocin', this is closest I get to an actual bar anymore.
pickSarcastic mostly loner graphic designer meets sexy bartender/carpenter lumbersexual. I think this is the first romance I read with a hero that catfishes the heroine. Alex and Joe have great chemistry. They are fun together. I do wish we had gotten Joe's point of view; we only get Alex's. Scott writes funny dialogue. I also really like the friendships in this book. Overall I liked this one very much.
