Priest's Graveyard | Ted Dekker
5 posts | 19 read | 4 to read
Two abandoned souls are on the hunt for one powerful man. Soon, their paths will cross and lead to one twisted fate. Danny Hansen is a Bosnian immigrant who came to America with hopes of escaping haunted memories of a tragic war that took his other's life. Now he's a priest incensed by the powerful among us who manipulate the law for their own gain, uncaring of thes hattered lives they leave behind. It is his duty to show them the error of their ways, even if he must put them in the grave. Renee Gilmore is the frail and helpless victim of one such powerful man. Having escaped his clutches, she now lives only to satisfy justice by destroying him, regardless of whom she must become in that pursuit. But when Danny and Renee's paths become inexorably entangled things go very, very badly and neither of them may make it out of this hunt alive.

I LOVE this author! If you need chills grab something by him. It will mess with your head a bit. But still give you goosebumps! #scarathlon2023 #scarathlon #mischiefandmayhem #scarathlonphotochallenge day 19: cemetery/Grave

🎧 What a thoroughly bizarre book that is oddly addicting.

Two MCs. One in 1st person , one in 3rd. Strange but works well to keep the POVs separate, add the male/female narrators & you can fly through the book.

It‘s a ridiculous premise, a priest & a young girl are out to get some vigilante justice against a rich & powerful man, neither are fully who they say they are & clearly a bit damaged.

TW - everywhere.

⭐️⭐️⭐️3/4

Reggie I read one by him a long time ago. It had to do with a fight club scenario where one character doesn‘t know they‘re also the killer. I didn‘t care for it very much but still remember it. Lol 3y
Twainy @Reggie I think I‘ve read another book by him also! Not a super fan but I‘m looking for Halloween horror 😁 this was not horror … either was the next book … more thriller-like. 3y

My first thought for #graveyard was Gaiman, but since I know that will be a popular choice, I searched Goodreads and this popped up. I haven't read anything by Dekker in decades, but this has potential.

Starts out well, enter a good twist, then falters. If you want to try Decker, start with Three.

ashleymk84 I really like Ted dekker and I have read his book three. I just started this book last night. 6y
Aleida I hope you like it. But I thought Three is his best. @ashleymk84 6y
