I'm not quite sure what I just read. (scratches head) I finished it only because I bought a copy a while ago on a whim.

#internationalwomensday. Okay this is probably a depressing pick for this prompt. But so be it. I have a feeling it's a cross between 13 reasons why and Virgin Suicides. #marchinbooks.
✨I just set off on this Shiprocked cruise! Vacation baby! Rock music! 🚢 🤘🏻Of course, I did bring some reading. I started #beautifulbrokengirls by #kimsavage on the plane ride here.✨
✨#beautifulbrokengirls by #kimsavage is on my early 2018 #tbr since I sadly didn‘t get to it last year. 2107 was crazy I have lots of reading and books to catch up on! ✨ #mystery #yabooks
So if 13 reasons why wasn't enough, hers another book about girls explains why they killed them selves. #highschoolers #backtoreading
I love Kim Savage's past book. It was dark and enjoyable. This one just went too far for me. I didn't hate it but I don't want to reread it. I think that this is perfect for anyone looking for a super dark psychological thriller. It was just too much for summer. *I received this copy courtesy of Netgalley in exchange for an honest review*
#2017Book69
When Mira and Francesca are pulled out of the quarry, their stiff limbs entwined around each other and rocks weighing down their pockets, Ben makes it his mission to determine what led his neighbors to kill themselves. But as he attempts to avenge the sisters' deaths, he begins to learn that there is more to the story than he'd been allowed to see.
🌟I'm keeping my TBR small this month since I have had a lot going on lately. #beautifulbrokengirls and #thejewel are the main two books that I want to get to.🌟 #kimsavage #amyewing
Hummmmmm
I really wanted to like this more, but I was never very interested in what was going on.
A totally different kind of book than Savage's "After the Woods". Less thriller and more....Virgin Suicides for the YA crowd. Definitely not a bad thing. A gorgeous and haunting second novel, and a few scenes really made my chest ache thanks to the overwhelmingly familiar Italian-American atmosphere.
This book absolutely surprised me, the characters are deep and emotional. I was completely invested in the main character Ben. My heart ached for him. Kim Savage's writing in this novel is really fluid and does an excellent job of expressing grief and loss. Don't let the sadness turn you off, it is well done and really makes you want to look at people beyond the surface.
This is a fantastic read so far. It feels very real, that I am with the characters going through their lives beside them. I also love how the book is formatted, each part is significant. Can't wait to see how the rest unfolds. I think there will be tears!
