Waking up in a military complex, months after zombies attacked school, B has no memory of the last few months. Life in the UK has turned tough since the outbreak, and B is woven into life- and battle- in the new military regime quickly. Mehso-so

A teen girl named B wakes up in an institution with missing bits of memory after zombies attacked her high school. Apparently some zombies regain consciousness and become “revitalized”, and she‘s one of them!

A fast paced zombie thriller from the monster‘s point of view, I‘d give it a so-so. Props to B for going against her racist dad.

I chose this for my #LitsyAtoZ #LetterZ, and I‘m also using it for #BBRC Teen Angst- Middle of a Series.

LibrarianRyan I need to continue on with this series. I have the books. I really liked book one because it was so about so much more than just Zombies. But it does not sound like that is the case with the next books in line. 5y
mcipher I should get this for my son - he loves Darren Shan‘s books! 5y
pppooraikul I‘ve always loved Darren Shan but I still can‘t get into this series yet. (Finished only the first two.) I‘ll be looking forward to what you have to say about next ones. 👀 5y

Panpan

I liked this idea. What I did not like was the writing style. It did not flow well for me. The ending was not great either. Actually, there was no ending. Instead it was a cliffhanger, poorly done, to make the reader get the next book. I found myself irritated, rather than baited to read the next one.

Pickpick

YA Audio These are quick, mindless (lol, zombie pun) reads. The author likes giving jack ass characters a chance at redemption and makes the struggle real. Not formulaic but a tried and true successful series.

ReadingOver50 I loved his Cirque de Freak series 8y
Ksvz I did too. I also liked and also owned the Demonata series. The books were awesome as the cover art's eyes and fangs glowed in the dark. The City Book series was wicked also. 8y
