panNot a fan of this book. It's not a horror novel. It's a fantasy adventure, albeit with the standard Goosebumps ingredients. Annoying little sister, jump scares that go nowhere, super simple writing, etc. I did not like the main character. Billy Deep and his desire to be famous bugged me. I wanted something to eat him. However, there was one twist that I didn't see coming, resulting in a few pages of tension & wanting to know what happened next.

While it's written under Goosebumps this one doesn't really have anything spooky about it so I just counted it as a normal non Halloween read.
With everything going on in October for us I didn't have time to do the full #GoosebumpsChallenge but I did enjoy revisiting this one from my childhood. 🎃
