Finally finished not only my #Roll100 for January, but the whole trilogy.
There are some great and unique ideas in this book, a fascinating world and deep characters. The language is beautiful. BUT I would've enjoyed this all so much more if the author would've written only one book, instead of three. It all felt so dragged and way too long.
Maybe it's also because I'm not familiar enough with the cultural background of the book...

My first #Roll100 in 2023 is another win: I've planned to read this book anyways, since I want to finish the trilogy. I'm not sure if I'm going to bail it or not (the second book already dragged, but I still decided I'd give number three a try). However it'll turn out, my TBR will go down and I can finish another series.

AutumnRLS @Branwen I may have already started Ninth House last night.... lol. I still have 100 pages left of my non fiction, but it's a very quick read. I read about 100 pages of that last night too. 5y

Today has been tough. Had to hold down my very upset six-year-old during a tooth extraction (baby molar with bad infection). He's totally fine now. I'm totally traumatized. So when the mail came, I was totally surprised by the arrival of the final book in the trilogy that I've been impatiently waiting for. At least there are always books!
