Centique I discovered her Barbara Vine books a couple of years ago and am smitten with her. 😍 Haven‘t tried the ones she‘s written under Rendell yet @AmyG I do like more of a psychological mystery than a heart thumping thriller and the Vines have been great. 2y

Well, I have to say that this book was full of sordid details and family secrets. The problem is that it moved very slowly and I had a very hard time concentrating on it. I was getting a bit confused because there were so many characters to keep track of. I know that Ruth Rendell/Barbara Vine is a well known and loved author but, this being my first book by her, I have to admit I wasn't really impressed. To each his own.
