But when a Rebel assault goes wrong, Han and Leia must think fast to make their escape, while Luke comes face-to-face with Darth Vader! In the explosive aftermath, a humbled Luke returns to Tatooine to learn more about his mentor, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Meanwhile, Leia and Han undertake a vital, and dangerous, secret mission. But can they succeed without Luke? Plus, the menace of Boba Fett! Collecting Star Wars (2015) #1–6.

Star Wars has powerful themes, within a well-constructed galaxy and adventure narrative that appeals to the times. The story centres on the battle between the evil Empire and virtuous Rebellion, which appeals for its action as well as the injustice that is being fought.

This was a fun addition to the story. Added in old characters with some new arcs and it was a quick read. I recommend it if you want a comic form of a short Star Wars back story, to dive in.

I‘m reading #acomicaday to chip away at my stacks of unread stuff. The art and banter in this book are both on point.

LibrarianRyan Han Solo looks apish. 7y
TobeyTheScavengerMonk @LibrarianRyan I thought that thought! There is another frame in the same issue where the author perfectly reproduces his half smile/smirk and I almost posted that one, but the banter was better here. 7y

I‘m trying to chip away at my massive backlog of comics by reading #acomicaday Here‘s a great moment from issue 2 of Marvel‘s Star Wars ongoing.

The series picks up right after A New Hope and apparently Darth Vader is missing a key piece of information at this point.

Whoa, so much fun! And Han, you‘ve been hiding a few things! Guess I‘ll go ahead and read volume 2 since I‘ve got it from the library. Thanks for the rec, @skrishna 😊

I never finished this the last time I picked up because it annoyed me, I had forgotten why...but now I remember.
Everybody is actually an idiot in this. Nah the force isn't real Han, it's just a coincidence that shit is floating. 🙄 There a few other scenes before this one that are worse but alas contain spoilers.

Purchased for my Godson, may have read it beforehand. Takes up pretty much immediately after the New Hope, this was a fun comic, with all the familiar faces acting exactly in the way you would expect them to act. But also gives you some scenes that you wished for in the movies - Darth Vader cutting lose with the force, the start of the Han and Leia romance. Overall really enjoyed it and now need to buy him (me) volume two.
