Wow! The perfect mix of Science-fiction, Romance and mystery! Full of secrets and endearing characters, this book left me feeling like I had made 4 new friends and that I was saving the world with them! After reading it, I instantly picked up the sequel! Would recommend to anyone who loved "the 100" series! This story felt like the Harry Potter of space! Definetly getting a good spot on my bookshelves!
Damn it that was a good ending. Fuck me for not waiting for book 2 *melts to floor*
This had bits and pieces of most YA sci-fis so it was sort of familiar but the plot kept me on my toes. The romances in here hit me in the feels, the betrayals came out of left field and we have yet another book teaching us that bigotry, segregation and "othering" each other is ???BULLLLLLLLLLSHITTTTTTTTT ???
Super excited for the sequel
I'm digging sci-fis lately so I'm going to try this one and if I like it, maybe go back and try the 100 series she also wrote.
I quite liked this. Science fiction YA style: 4 students arrive at the Quatra Fleet Academy to train - the first from planets, other than the main Tridian planet, allowed to train. This looks at themes of prejudice, friendship and subterfuge. It‘s the first in a new trilogy, and I think I might look out for the books that follow.
This is the author of the 100. Yes , the TV show that is pretty entertaining. I‘m interested to what this is like.
