She's a liar. She's a stalker. She's in your house. When Claire sees Hannah Wilson at an exclusive Manhattan hair salon, it's like a knife slicing through barely healed scars. It may have been ten years since Claire last saw Hannah, but she has thought of her every day, and not in a good way. So Claire does what anyone would do in her positionshe stalks her. Hannah is now Mrs. Carter, living the charmed life that should have been Claire's. It's the life Claire used to have, before Hannah came along and took it all away from her. Back then, Claire was a happy teenager with porcelain skin and long, wavy blond hair. Now she's an overweight, lazy drunk with hair the color of compost and skin to match. Which is why when Hannah advertises for a housekeeper, Claire is confident she can apply and not be recognized. And since she has time on her hands, revenge on her mind, and a talent for acting Because what better way to seek retributionand redressthan from within the beautiful Mrs. Hannah Carter's own home? Except that it's not just Claire who has secrets. Everyone in that house seems to have something to hide. And now, there's no way out.

I happily devoured this book in a weekend. A real page turner and twists galore in the last quarter. It‘s not going to change your outlook on life but guaranteed to keep you entertained 👍

Not a bad thriller. Definitely twisted in a few ways. There‘s a truckload of revenge fueling this plot and I think the main character, Claire, is quite funny and honest about herself. This was a March bonus read, as it had nothing to do with my TBR or #bookspin list. ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

I‘m off plan, but I started this anyway. It‘s an audio courtesy of Hoopla and my library. How could I resist “A twisted psychological thriller.” On chapter 7 and so far it appears to be a narrator monologue, which isn‘t so bad. Especially since she has absolutely no problem admitting to herself that she‘s crazy (not clinically...yet)

A quartet of murders for Boxing Day. There are times during a long pandemic infused year when you just have to go for purely escapism reading. These people have big issues, but they are resolved in about 350 pages! These all had interesting plot twists, but I liked the tagged book and The Woman Next Door the most. The Loyal Wife had a truly interesting premise, and The Sister-In-Law just didn‘t capture my imagination. A lovely mixed bag!

This current read for my book club was a pleasant surprise. I did not think it looked that great, but it ended up providing twists and turns that kept me guessing. That is what I want from a thriller. Every time I felt smart and thought I had it figured out, the author made a surprise move. It was fun.

May 30, 2020 Hey Listers!!!! Bare in mind that this a psychological thriller. I am on that thriller train as you might recall. Anyway, this book is only 40 chapters and I am already halfway through. It doesnt take long to read since the chapters are super short and the writing is spread out. I am enjoying it so far and will definitely say that you should buy it. I DARE YOU thrill seekers haha
