Penny is a millennial who is weighed down by the expectations of others & isn‘t sure where her life is going or what she wants to do. A chance encounter to be involved in the filming of a low budget slasher film transforms her life in truely spectacular & unexpected ways! (I‘m not a horror movie fan - but low key kind of want to watch the movie they make). This isn‘t a love story - it‘s a finding your place & people story and - I bloody loved it!
I‘ve never held a temp job in my life... but this is an interesting perspective 🤣
Penny is a 26-year-old office temp with few prospects and no idea what she wants to do with her life— until a couple local guys recruit her to help them make a no-budget indie horror film. I almost bailed on this in the first third, when everyone in Penny‘s life treats her like garbage, but I‘m so glad I stuck it out. Watching Penny and her friends make something they‘re proud of was worth it. Squeamish beware: fake gore abounds 🎥🔪 #graphicnovel
“Aunt Penny! I want to be a movie star. I want to wear a big dress and I want...”
“Grace. What did I say about letting go of desire?”
“...That it‘s the path to enlightenment. “😕
