Nicely done YA in verse dealing with an accidental shooting.

This beautiful verse novel really tugged at my emotions. It describes the aftermath of an accidental shooting and how two families lives are forever changed.

This was a tragic tale involving a terrible accident and showing the strain it puts on the lives of everyone involved. The writing was beautiful and vivid in this YA book, and the POV of the younger sister helped implant hope into the story.

A novel in verse about a teenage girl dealing with the aftermath of an accident that nearly takes her brothers life.

I don‘t mind books in verse and have read a few that I actually loved but this one fell short. I think based on the very sensitive topic in this story would have been better told in a traditional book format. There is so much I wanted to know about both families before the terrible tragedy that verse didn‘t let me explore.
