I tried plowing through, I just couldn‘t connect to the characters. Part of the problem is a few books like this have been done recently. The bigger problem is those books have been better.
Goodreads said if I liked Class Mom, which I did, I‘ll like this one. We will soon find out!
No one is more judgmental of moms than other moms and this novel about a so called perfect mom having a meltdown and the repercussions when it is posted to social media by one of the new preschool moms, who doesn‘t fit in in the town shows that. Characters are a little too one dimensional and the ending is too easily resolved to be a pick. Full review at https://booknaround.blogspot.com/2020/03/review-little-wonders-by-kate-rorick.ht...
Starting another without finishing the previous collection. Story of my life these days.
I don't enjoy reading about adults (rich or otherwise) behaving badly. This was, largely, a slow, painful slog. I shouldn't have to wait until almost 95% of the book to be interested in the outcome. None of the characters is especially likeable. Near the bitter end, a couple might be somewhat redeemed. Overall: no thanks.
It‘s release day for Kate Rorick‘s latest, Little Wonders!
No social interactions, no problem; I‘d rather be home with a book anyways. Thanks @WilliamMorrowBooks and @HarperCollins for my weekend plans!
I didn‘t think I was going to enjoy this book but I surprisingly did. I‘m not a mom, have no desire to me a mom. I have no idea what it‘s like to have the pressure of working, raising a kid or being pressured to participate in volunteering for your child‘s school activities. Everyone wants to show they have a perfect life. You then have women trying to work together and create relationships.

I understand that the author is trying to stay regional, but the Patriots haven‘t played a Thanksgiving Day game since 2012... I easily researched that 🤦♀️🤦♀️
She could have just said watching football and it
would‘ve been fine.

(If you couldn‘t tell this is set in Massachusetts)
Just got this ARC in the mail. I won it on LibraryThing! Thanks @WilliamMorrowBooks and @LibraryThing
I‘ve never heard of the author and it seems like she writes a lot! A historical fiction series and for the TV show The Librarians and a Marvel show.
A mom has a meltdown because her son won‘t wear his costume and it‘s posted online. A new mom posted it and is trying to remain anonymous.
