Yesterday, I read the four volumes of Stumptown, I just dived into them. All are 4 stars for me, except the last one at 3/5. Great mystery in the graphic format with an interesting female PI. Perfect to relax and unwind.

Greg Rucka is another favorite writer of mine in the world of comics and graphic novels. He does such a great job developing flawed characters that you can't help but fall in love with.
This volume was a perfect start to this crime/mystery series. I can't wait to read the next one.
If you like Veronica Mars or Jessica Jones, you‘ll like Stumptown. I binged this comic series pretty quickly and really enjoyed it. Portland PI with a collection of personal issues solves mysteries and cracks wise. Another solid comic from Rucka and crew. I‘d def read more if the series continues.
I‘ve probably got another hour in me before I crash, but I may just make the whole 24 hours this weekend! 🤞😄 #24in48
Solid mystery comic set in Portland. The lead is a female private eye with a gambling problem. This is basically Jessica Jones without superpowers.
Going to spend what remains of the afternoon reading these. I read volume one some time ago, but then my library consortium didn't have the rest. My library joined a service that connects us to even more libraries in the state so I was able to get volumes two and three. Which means a reread of the 1st one. Now I have to figure out a way to get my hands on volume 4 because none of the libraries have it 🙁
#AllTheSingleLadies includes this young woman, imperfect Private Investigator Dex Parios. While on the trail of a missing girl, she is also raising her developmentally disabled younger brother. She rocks! #JuneBookBugs
I think I've found my graphic novel groove. I LOVED this - the main character, the story, the style of the artwork, the potential for future issues. Best of all I loved having all 4 chapters in one volume. I don't know if this series has been serialized in the past. But this format is definitely for me. I'll be picking up more of Dex Parrios & her adventures soon.
I picked up my first graphic novel a couple years ago as part of a reading challenge. They're slowly growing on me. I'm working through Locke & Key & A.D. After Death, & starting Stumptown this month.

At #nobookbookclub, I talked about AD After Death & In the House Upon the Dirt Between the Lake and the Woods. In our book exchange, I got Stumptown. Sweet 😊
