If I were to use this book in the classroom, I would follow up with an activity giving students the opportunity to write their own memoirs.

Memoirs of a Goldfish is a funny story about a fish who gets overcrowded and isn‘t happy about it. The illustrations go along perfectly with the narration, and the bright colors add to the fun nature of the book. The story is written as a diary written by the fish which adds a unique aspect and perspective.

An adorable book!! It is never to early to introduce children to memoirs! My favorite genre!
Memoir of a Goldfish by Devin Scillian is a MF book that won a Wonda Gág Read Aloud Book Award in 2011. This book is so cute and has a heartwarming message. I would definitely use this as a RA in my class, maybe even the first week of school. The book is all about sharing a space with lots of other people. I would Incorporate UDL Strategy 3.4 to help students understand that we are like Goldfish because we are sharing a classroom with each other.
We got goldfish in kindergarten today and enjoyed this hilarious book #teachersoflitsy
This was the cutest little story ❤️
Too cute. Have you ever wondered what it was like to be the only goldfish in the tank? What happens when you start getting more, and more, and more. You just want your little bowl all to yourself again ... maybe.
