Featuring a few gems, which *weren‘t* on my radar, & which I‘ve added to my TBR because of your #NewYearWhoDis lists!

First up is one from @Amandajoy :

“Wade traces the intimate story of coming of age in one particular body (as a lesbian, an only child, a Protestant attending Catholic school). She uses...music, math, religion, fairy tales, poetry, & art to reckon with the many facets of embodiment, sexuality, & love in our contemporary world.”

Amandajoy The writing in this was poetic. Just beautiful. 4y

I think I‘m doing ok, but will track and work on doing better. I‘ve always concentrated on increasing then number of female authors I read.

Emilymdxn Looks like a great starting point! Excited to have you on board! 4y
keithmalek Jesus Christ. Just read whatever you want to read and don't worry about who wrote it. 4y
Amandajoy @keithmalek I do read whatever I want, and part of that is seeing things from a different perspective. For me that means making an effort to read books from authors who don‘t look like me or whose viewpoint isn‘t generally given priority in society. And to do that, it very often means making an effort to seek out those stories. 4y

ChasingOm We‘re so glad you‘re joining us! Reading more women was my first shelf integration task years ago; now I feel like it‘s time to branch out again! 4y
